What a powerful
testament to God’s healing power and forgiveness! I took away a great deal from this
story.
The author lays
bare her heart and soul in this book. She paints her life as it is, not with a
bunch of flowery words to make it seem prettier than it was. It’s written from
the heart, with truth and honesty. I pray it will help others who are dealing
with some of what she went through.
The way to
redemption isn’t always a scenic path full of beauty. And it’s not always easy
to read what the author went through. What choices she made, and choices that
were made for her. Things that can cling to a person and whisper in their ear
how they are unworthy. Unforgivable. Thankfully, our God is bigger than those
whispers, and He knows our hearts.
The majority of
the book is Melanie’s story of how events beyond her control shaped her
childhood. I highly recommend this book.
