Carolina Coast Novels
Eric Houston is a lawyer in a small town. He lives on
his boat and is content, mostly, in his life. That all changes when he discovers
he’s the closest relative of a young boy he hasn’t seen in three years.
Suddenly he has a lot more on his shoulders, and through it all, he finds he
needs the God that his twin brother Henry believes in.
Jemima “Jeminy” Buchanan’s life has gone downhill. Her
twin died on their twelfth birthday, her mother became a cold woman who didn’t
seem to love her, and she had an empty whole where Olli used to be. She left
the God her father and Rose, their nanny, had always talked about when she was
young. Then, after her life fell to pieces, she got a call that her nana needed
her. Perhaps she could have a new start.
I loved this story, and there are so many wonderful
characters. Some pretty bad ones too. The author wrote in such a way that I
felt the confusion of Georgina as she was beginning to forget things, the pain
of needing forgiveness—and yet not able to accept it because of feeling
unworthy. And so much more. Truly an inspirational story.
