Debra Clopton Book List

Interview with Debra Clopton
What is the strangest real life situation that is in one of your stories?
Hmmm…when I started the Mule Hollow series I had this crazy idea for a donkey character named Samantha and that donkey is one of my reader’s favorite characters. I had met the real life Samantha when I, a hairstylist at the time, was asked to dye a very expensive show horse black (enhancing her already black coat). It was the wildest experience and I spent 3 days on this ranch dying this horse with Samantha running roughshod over the place. She was a really plump donkey, and so mischievous that I was amazed by her antics over the weekend. The owner filled me in on Samantha’s history and why she was doing certain things, like letting the horses out of their stalls so she could eat their food. Anyway, I wrote Samantha’s story in AND BABY MAKES FIVE and much of what the donkey did in the book, the real life Sam did that weekend that I was there. About a year ago our neighbor who owns a herd of donkeys called and her herd of 10 donkeys had escaped and were roaming free in the dark. My husband and I had to load up and go find the animals and get them back down the road. It inspired the roaming donkeys that are in my May Cowboys of Sunrise Ranch story, HER UNLIKELY COWBOY. I hope readers enjoy donkeys as much as I do.

Do you laugh and cry while writing your books?
Always!!! I’m kind of like Joan Wilder from Romancing the Stone if you’ve seen that movie she is blubbering in the beginning as she writes the end. I posted just last week on my FB page that as I was writing a scene from my Jan 2015 GOTTA HAVE HOPE book I was laughing too hard to type at the antics of some of the older ladies in town.

Do you ever forget that the characters are not real?
My husband gets really confused sometimes when I’m talking about characters because he thinks I’m talking about real people. When I was only writing about Mule Hollow he got familiar with all the characters. But this last year I wrote so many different books that I had to have sticky notes to keep up with them. He was really confused. But me, I had a whole lot of new friends! Hopefully my readers are going like all of my friends too.

Are you sad to end a series and leave the characters behind?
Yes after writing 21 books in the Mule Hollow Series they were like family. I LOVED getting to write all of my new series that I have coming out but leaving the matchmaking posse behind and App and Stanley was really tough. I had a blast bringing them back in my INSPY KISSES novella HER MULE HOLLOW COWBOY, and can’t wait to bring readers more new Mule Hollow stories. Plus many new and fun characters too.

2014 is going to be an action-packed year for me. I am so thrilled about all the different books that I have coming out. I hope everyone will sign up for my newsletter so you’ll be the first to know when something new is coming or when there is a special going on!

Gotta Have Hope Series
 Four Hearts Ranch 1-3 rewritten
Book 1: Betting on Hope

Tru Monahan had much to show for himself in his twenty-nine years. Such as rodeo championships, horse training, and the ranch he shared with his brothers and grandfather. There was more he wanted, though. A family of his own.

Maggie Hope wrote a column to help people. She was okay being in the background, unlike her friend Amanda, who had a TV show. When Amanda falls ill, she has Maggie stand in for her to interview the hunkiest cowboy ever, Tru Monahan. When she finds Tru even more handsome in person, she gets tongue-tied and ends up making a bet as a joke. Only her paper and his sponsors don't see the humor; they see dollar signs.

I cannot wait for more in this series. I have read and enjoyed all of the Mule Hollow Series and the humorous antics in them. There is humor in this book, too, but also deeper subjects. Some of the characters are hiding some deep hurts from their youth, while others make major decisions with no good answers. All of this makes for a really enjoyable story.

Book 2: Counting on a Cowboy

Bo Monahan, along with his two brothers, has been working to save their ranch, and there hasn't been time for dating or much else. He wasn't the man he used to be, but sometimes, the past catches up to you...and sometimes, that past mixes with the present and future.

Abby Knightly had read all of Maggie Hope's, now Monahan's, columns and fell in love with the small town of Wishing Springs, Texas. Her friends and family thought they were helping her, but they were really keeping her in the past. It was time to move forward. Oh, she would never love again, but maybe she could be happy.

Life never quite turns out as you plan. For Bo, it was a woman he felt responsible for after an accident and his past showing up...literally...on his doorstep. For Abby, it was the attraction to a cowboy...an attraction that she didn't want. She couldn't let go of her past or the guilt that came with it. The first book is Bo's brother's story, Betting on Hope. The third book, Kissed by a Cowboy, is his eldest brother Jarrod's story.

Book 3: Kissed by a Cowboy

Jarrod Monahan feels the weight of saving the ranch on his shoulders. He feels responsible for not knowing their dad had almost gambled it away. Now that Bo and Tru have found their soul mates, he's feeling how empty his life is. He has his work, but he is lonely. And then he gains a new neighbor.

Cassidy Starr feels like she's failed. Like her flighty parents, she couldn't keep her marriage together. Thankfully, her great aunt Roxie left her home to her. She plans on a new start. She's going to raise strawberries and open a bed and breakfast. No men, especially not the man she fell in love with as a young troubled girl—the same man who kissed and walked out of her life.

This is another great series by this author. Very little gets past the people in the small town of Wishing Springs, Texas, especially not possible matchmaking opportunities. Along with Jarrod and Cassidy is the story of Rand and Pebble, which started in the first book, Betting on Hope, continued in book 2, Counting on a Cowboy, and ended in this book.

Book 3: Strong Loving Cowboy

Sheriff Jake Morgan is walking in his late father’s footsteps. Protecting the town he loves and working his ranch during his off-time. Alone. After watching his mother grieve his father and fear losing Jake as well, he knows he’d never put a woman in that position. To love him and lose him. However, his stance is harder to live with since the new lady came to town.

Lara Strong, the new owner of the Sweet Dreams Motel, loves Wishing Springs, Texas. She’s so glad she read the Gotta Have Hope and learned about this place. She wants to help people and give back to others with all she’s been blessed with. But, after her parents died and the jerk she was dating showed his true colors, she chose to stay single.

Everyone in town can see that Jake and Lara belong together. Everyone but them, of course. A town full of loving people, but…being a small town…they may get into other’s business—as in love life.

Book 5: An Ever After Summer

Mathew McConnell needs help. His wife died giving birth to their daughter. It’s hard for his hired hand’s wife to keep up now that Sophie is a toddler. He puts out an ad for a mail-order bride…only, after a few months, the man in charge tweaks Mathew’s ad a touch…without Mathew’s knowledge.

Melvina Eldora “Ellie” Smith jumps at the chance to get away when her aunt orders her to choose an ad from the catalogue. She’s lived in Fort Worth with a reputation she had no hand in making. And her aunt never lets her forget what a burden Ellie’s been to her. The scowling man she meets sure doesn’t seem like the same one who put that ad out.

Even with the misunderstandings, Sophie needs a mama. This is a delightful story with a bit of humor. I loved Mathew, Ellie, and Sophie, but Prudence plays a wonderful part in this story. I won’t give away who she is.

Book 6: A Cowboy for Katie

Katie Pearl lost her mom at an early age, so her dad raised her to be tough and able to run their Texas ranch. He taught her how to shoot and use a whip but not so much how to attract a man. After she loses her dad, suddenly, all those no-goods show up wanting to marry her, but Katie knows they want the land—not her.

Treb Rayburn was traveling around this country, as his mom always wanted to do. No settling down for this cowboy. When his horse dies, he takes on a job for Katie to rebuild her house…and then he’s heading back to see more of the country. The Lord had other plans for their lives, though.

This is the prequel to Heart Healing Cowboy. Katie is Matt McConnell's great-great-great-grandma. Katie’s story is why Kelley Hanna bought the property that once was her ranch.

Book 7: Heart Healing Cowboy

Matt McConnell has moved back to Wishing Spring, Texas, to the property in his family since the 1800s. He had hoped to buy the other parcel next to his, as his ancestors had once owned that, too. His family lives in Corpus Christi, but he had to leave after losing the love of his life. Start over away from the memories.

Kelley Hanna found the perfect property. The history of the woman who once lived here, Katie Pearl, mirrored her life in ways. Through tragedy, they were connected. She didn’t know someone was living on the other property, a handsome cowboy, but she needed to focus on healing.

Two hurting people who need healing. They can help each other as neighbors, but can there ever be anything more?

You should read these two books first to learn about the ancestors: A Cowboy for Katie and An Ever After Summer.

Texas Matchmakers...at it Again!
Book 1: The Trouble With a Small Town Everlasting Cowboy
Luc Asher came to Mule Hollow, Texas, because of his friend Pace. Both had been loners on ranches, running. As Christians, they knew they needed to be around people. After Pace settled, he worked on Luc to come to Mule Hollow, and finally, he did.
Izzy Cranberry doesn’t want to be part of the matchmaking. She has her own plans. Plans to move to the city and open up a hair salon. But she’s here in Mule Hollow for her gram’s and grammy’s sake. They never made it here while alive, so Izzy will live out their dreams of visiting there.
Luc and Izzy try to tell the Matchmakin’ Posse they aren’t interested. Ha! Like that’s never been tried and failed. They also find out the plans for their lives and what God has for them are two different things. So, welcome back to Mule Hollow, Texas. Home of the Matchmakin’ Posse and a mess of other unique folks!
If you enjoyed Debra’s series of Mule Hollow, Texas, you’re sure to enjoy revisiting the town in this new series.
Book 2: The Trouble With An Everlasting Cowboy
Max Cantrell has a dream. He now works the prickly pear farm he’d worked with his mom when he was thirteen. Max dreams of getting the jelly from his grandmother’s recipe distributed far and wide. Until then, he’s not interested in marriage. It’s just his dream.

Lee Ann Brown has traveled the country on her motorcycle for seven years. She saved up for the bike once she was out of foster care and now enjoys her freedom. Stopping places and leaving again with no connections. While traveling, she kept hearing about Mule Hollow in Texas, where she was from. So it was time to visit there.

Two mule-headed folks who can only think of their dreams are no match for the Matchmakin’ Posse of Mule Hollow, Texas. When they see a man and woman who belong together, they’ll hold no stops to find ways to ensure they are a couple. It’s always a fun-filled story in this quaint town. This one has a tissue alert for those who cry easily.
Book 3: The Trouble With A Valentine's Cowboy

Lana Valentine has come to Mule Hollow for a new beginning. She’s had a debilitating health crisis and has been recovering for the last six months. Viral encephalitis. Her words don’t come out like she wants, and she forgets names…but she’s alive. And she’s here to recover and write a book. Love wasn’t in the picture…but she hadn’t known about Jeb.

Jeb Denton has been in Mule Hollow for six months now. His cousin had left the family business…singing in Branson…and bought a ranch. Jeb is loving his life here. After Ross was hurt, Jeb even had to stand for him on the stage of Ross and Sugar Rae’s theater. And then there’s Lana.

The author of this book had this illness, and she relates some of those issues through Lana. Of course, much laughter is added to the seriousness with Lana in Mule Hollow. A well-told story that informs the reader of a real-life issue.

Cowboys of Dew Drop, Texas
Book 1: Unforgettable Cowboy

Morgan McDermott was proud of Sunrise Ranch. His mother’s dream had been to have a place for foster boys to come, she didn’t live to see it, but it happened. Sixteen boys. Then his dad, who was now Morgan’s partner with the fostering part of the ranch, told him who he’d hired to teach the boys this semester. The woman who destroyed him six years ago.

Jolie Sheridan was happy to be home in Dew Drop, Texas. She had left six years ago to follow the adventure of world-class kayaking. Instead, Jolie needed some time to recover after an accident in her competition. And what better than teaching the foster boys on the ranch she grew up on when her parents worked here.

**Tissue alert. Wow, what a story. I loved it. The characters were endearing, and the storyline was page-turning. The humor was laugh-out-loud, and the emotional parts were tear-jerking.

Looking forward to this series.

Book 2: Unexpected Cowboy

Rowdy McDermott was rightly named. After the death of his mother, while he was young, he rebelled. Then a situation woke him up, and Rowdy had promised God that he’d change. And he had. He had promised God he’d not get into a relationship until he knew it was from God. And then the new neighbor fell into his arms.

Lucy Calvert was so thankful that her great-uncle had left her his home in his will. Beautiful property with a barn perfect for making a studio for her art. And the peace she needed for her healing. And then Rowdy came along and wouldn’t leave her alone.

Both Rowdy and Lucy needed healing from scars. Lucy’s were physical and emotional. Rowdy had the scars of all he’d done in his past that he was learning to leave behind and become a new creature in Christ.

I love this new series. Loveable characters, especially the foster boys who are living on the ranch.

Book 3: Unlikely Cowboy

Sheriff Tucker McDermott loves his family’s ranch, but after coming home from being a marine, he ran for sheriff—and won. But the sorrow and guilt of losing a friend, a brother, in the war weighs heavily on him. So when he has a chance to help his friend’s wife and son, he jumps at the opportunity to bring them to Sunrise Ranch.

Suzie Kent not only lost her husband two years ago, but now she’s losing her son too. The once happy boy is now a sullen teenager who will end up in jail if she doesn’t get him away from the crowd he’s been hanging out with.

An incredible series with the most adorable characters. I suggest starting with book one to have the full pictures of what’s happening.

Book 4: Undeniable Cowboy

Chet Grall had come to Sunrise Ranch as a boy and was still here. He would never marry, just be the big brother to all the boys coming through. Helping them as he had been.

April Mallory, aka Author B.P. Joel, keeps to herself and never tells anyone about her life. She’s a loner and plans on staying that way. But, after a reader sent her a letter about a foster home unlike any other, April had to make her way to Dew Drop, Texas, to learn more. She didn’t expect the heavy rains on the back road she took to town and her little car not handling it well.

Such a great series. Characters that grab your heart and hang on.

Book 5: Undisputable Cowboy
Nicholas McDermott, one of the young men raised on Sunshine Ranch, wants to do something to help others. He’s made his millions, trying to prove he can be worthy to the parents who threw him away as a child…but that was unfulfilling. Now that he’s home and has bought a ranch by Sunrise…he already feels more fulfilled. Knows what his purpose is. To help others by opening a ranch to help others heal through the horses.
Emmy Swanson had found the perfect home for when she could have her sister live with her. A year ago, she found Dew Drop, Texas. This town was full of good and loving people. Just what Rainy would need to help heal. Emmy had to remind herself more often that everything she did was for her sister. Not even the handsome cowboy who just returned to Dew Drop should derail her.
This series is so heartwarming. Sunrise Ranch is a foster home for boys. Sixteen at a time, they could stay there until they turned eighteen. Even then, they could stay and work there if they desired. I’ve enjoyed every one of the stories in this series.

Star Gazer Inn of Corpus Christi Bay Series
Book 1: What New Beginnings are Made of
Jackson McIntyre is the oldest of four boys...now men. After a year and a half, he's still struggling with his dad's tragic death. Blaming himself for not being able to save him. And now...Mom bought an inn that she wants to fix up and open. She'll be moving out of the house as well. Too many changes for a man with the burden of being the head of the family.

Nina Hanson has been hiding from the world for three years now. She lives quietly in a lovely little cottage on the bay. Finally, Nina feels comfortable enough to take the step of getting a companion, a dog. And, she's going to have a new neighbor too. Nina had no idea how much her life was going to change.

Alice McIntyre found peace in the memories on the beach. Being near the inn that she first met her beloved William, and that very inn is now for sale. Hello, new life.

I just loved this story. Incredible characters that were easy to fall in love with. I'm looking forward to the rest of this series. There's more than one story going on. Not only Jackson and Nina but also Alice's life and her friend Lisa's. The reader also gets a little glimpse into the other brothers' lives, too.
Book 2: What Dreams are Made Of

Dallas McIntyre hears a woman’s screams on the beach when he visits his mom’s inn. What he finds on that beach changes his life. Forever.

Lorna Jordan is alone and would have never taken a walk on the beach if she’d known her baby boy would want to come and greet the world a few weeks early. Thankfully, a knight in shining armor appeared to rescue this damsel in distress out of nowhere.

This series focuses somewhat on one particular couple, but not completely. It also has the POV from others. Like Alice McIntyre, a widowed mother of four sons who have decided to move forward and open the Star Gazer Inn. A B&B and a restaurant. Seth Roark had remodeled the inn, and he and Alice, who both lost their spouses, have a background romance. Lisa, the chef, is still recovering from her ugly divorce. Not trusting men as she had no clue what a skunk her husband was. Jackson and Nina’s story continues from book one. Also Riley, another brother who helped a girl at a gas station but never learned her name. Wonderful series.

Book 3: What Hopes are Made Of

Riley McIntyre is ready to open up his new campground on the beach. Ever since meeting a woman at a gas station and having her tell him about glamping…he’d been preparing for it. And best of all, his biggest hope comes true; she shows up to book the campground for her glamping group.

Sophie Regan hadn’t forgotten about the cowboy at the gas station that helped clean her Jeep windows and that she’d told about glamping.

I love the other stories that go on in these books. An ongoing story of their mom, Alice, who opened up the Star Gazer Inn and her boyfriend, Seth. Lisa, the head chef and Alice’s good friend, and her assistant chef, Zane. Also, the previous brothers and their wives have POVs. Easy to read and wonderful storylines.

Book 4: What a Heart's Desire is Made Of

Tucker McIntyre had lost the love of his life seven years ago. As he saw the love between his mom and Seth, and all his brothers, he thought maybe it was time to open his heart to try and love again. And then Maggie walks into his life.

Maggie Carson had loved her husband with all her heart. He’d passed away two years ago, and it was time to start moving forward. She’d start by taking her friend Nina up on her offer of a cabin on the ranch of her new husband. It was time to get back to writing…and living.

As Tucker and Maggie struggle with leaving the past behind, Alice and Seth begin their new future together. Finding love for the second time in their lives. I love how the author includes many POVs. Some who have had their story and other POVs from stories yet to come. Fantastic series, but you may want to keep tissues handy.

Book 5: What True Love is Made Of

Lisa Blair’s life has improved so much with the help of her friend Alice. She loves being a chef and partner of Star Gazer Inn. She’s also enjoyed watching Alice and her sons fall in love. After her ex-husband’s betrayal, Lisa doesn’t think she can ever trust another man. Although her heart wants to trust Zane.

Zane Tyson couldn’t work at Star Gazer as Lisa’s assistant chef after she blew him off romantically. He wasn’t sure what to do, but fate stepped in. After Dave and Becca both died, he became the guardian of his nephew’s son, Nicky. It was such deep sorrow, yet Nicky brought so much joy into his life. All he needed now was Lisa.

This book ties in Zane and Lisa’s story and finishes Tucker and Maggie’s. An enjoyable story that brought a few tears to my eyes.

Book 6: What a "Glamping" Christmas is Made Of

Abe Bradshaw, a cowboy that works for the McIntyre Ranch, is helping run the glamping camp for the ladies’ group that Sophie used to belong to, the same ladies who were there when Sophie and Riley fell in love. But now, with Sophie due with her second child and Riley staying close…Abe would be in charge.

Chef Lilly Holloway loved her job at Star Gazer Inn as a sous chef. Working for two great chefs like Zane and Lisa, she was blessed. Her eye was on her goal to one day be a top chef, and never again would she let a man get in the way of her dreams as she’d done in the past. Although, she knows of one cowboy that would be hard to resist. Especially as she’s agreed to help Sophie and work with Abe on this last camp before the Christmas holiday.

A heart-warming story that drew a few tears from this reader. I loved how the hero had come from Sunrise Ranch, a home for foster boys in the Dew Drop, Texas, series.

 Sunset Bay Series
Book 1: Longing for Forever
Doctor Adam Sinclair had lived his dream. He left the small town of Sunset Bay and had become a trauma doctor. He loved working under pressure and stress. Until Chicago. When something didn't go right, Adam blamed himself. Left. And now, he's back home and trying to decide his next step.

Rosie Olsen had a “rosy” outlook on life. Always happy and cheerful and out to cheer others up. Her bakery, Bake My Day, was her place to spread love and joy through coffee, muffins, and other goodies. Life was great.

Rosie's sunshine was just what Adam needed in his dark world. Now, he just had to decide if he could stay...or if he was going to leave again. Great story. Looking forward to Adam's siblings’ stories. This Sinclair family are cousins to the Windswept Bay family.
Book 2: Longing for a Hero
Brad Sinclair, fire chief of Sunset Bay, puts his all into his job. Sure he dates, but his heart is locked up tight. After his fiancée left him to marry someone else...he'd decided one broken heart was enough for a lifetime.

Lulu Raintree had run away to Sunset Bay two years ago. She left the embarrassing episode of her ex-fiancé back there, but the memories were with her every moment. Tormenting her and reminding her to never give her heart away again. And yet, for the two years she's been here, she can't seem to stop watching the handsome fire chief from the sidelines...or from wherever she might be hiding at that moment.

Two hurt people who no longer trust. A small town with loving people who want the best for those they love...especially a group of four older ladies who like to dabble a bit with matchmaking. Love these first two stories and can't wait for the next one.
Book 3: Longing for Love
Erin Sinclair's B&B isn't taking off like she had hoped it would. Thankfully, she has someone booked for two months. A famous author. She sets out to be the best hostess she can be...only, the stubborn man won't let her. He wants to stay holed up in his room and take care of himself. How will she get a five-star review if she can't do her job?

Nash Bond has people waiting for his next book. When the one person who had loved him, encouraged him, believed in him, died...his writing stalled. Now, he's in a small town and in a B&B that his agent thought would be good for him. He soon finds out it is a good change. And the pesky owner even starts to grow on him.

No matter who we become, the negative past has a way of keeping its claws in us. Following us through life. Choosing how we act and think of ourselves. Nash, as successful as he is, is carrying around that negative load and it could cost him. I loved this story and the characters.
Book 4: Longing for Ever After
Jonah Sinclair has been longing for his happily-ever-after. Now that two of his brothers and one of his sisters have found their ever-afters, he's even more determined to find his. When he meets a woman on the pier, and finds out she can't be the one...he decides it's time to hit the dating scene again. No matter how much he dislikes it.

Summer Claremont's life has changed. She used to be a strong woman who led others. Now she cowered. When her brother asks her to move with him to the small beach town to help care for his daughter, her niece, she agrees. And soon, she finds it's the best decision she's ever made.

Life is never so easy. Jonah is ready for the picket fence house; Summer has issues that run deep. Life-changing issues that she has trouble believing someone like Jonah can accept. Another great story in this series. Some hard, real-life truths too. And the truth of how having friends to talk to can make all the difference. Great story and characters.
Book 5: Longing for You
Tate Sinclair has had wanderlust most of his life. The past ten years he's been away from Sunset Bay. He's one of the top stuntmen, can jump off anything, ride anything, climb anything. He's just good at what he does and loves the adventure.

Gigi Mason has been burned twice by men leaving in her life. She's just a homebody who enjoys working at Bake My Day and keeps it to herself that she's a crush on Tate for years...back to her school days even. But he'd never known she even existed...until now.

When Tate helps Gigi out of an embarrassing situation at Brad and Lulu's wedding reception, he can't get her out his mind. And she wants to keep him at arm's length. They are incompatible opposites with no way to bridge the difference between them. Or so it seems. Love this series. For me, I usually need some tissues handy when reading them.
Book 6: Longing for Us
Cassie Sinclair loved her job. Traveling the globe. Taking pictures from all different angles and places...like rock-climbing or hanging over a cliff. Until an accident that truly had her life flash in front of her. A moment of realizing she may never be part of a happy couple getting her wedding photo taken. Always the photographer.

Hunter Claremont made the right choice in bringing his daughter, Polly, to this small town, Sunset Bay. His sister met a wonderful man and his family adopted him and Polly into it. And then there's Callie Sinclair...also part of that big family. Whenever he sees her, his wall against every caring for another woman wants to come down some. But, she's not the woman for him. No woman is.

Cassie and Hunter are now in the sights of the town matchmakers...and her own family. Can't people see how wrong they are for each other? Another wonderful addition to this series.

Cowboys of Ransom Creek
Book 1: Her Cowboy Hero
Lori Calhoun has come home to the Calhoun Ranch after her dad passed away. She had guilt for not being here, and yet, after her dad had hired Trip, it was too hard to come back. There were too many...complications, between her and Trip.

Trip Jensen had left the ranch after he graduated. After all, he was only a ranch hand and Lori was the boss's daughter. When her dad asked him to come back as foreman and to buy into the rough stock part of the ranch, he returned. And now, so has Lori. But things aren't going smoothly. Cattle are missing and now their top five broncs.

Originally part of the Rodeo Knights Series.
Book 2: The Cowboy's Bride for Hire
Carson Andrews is content. His cousin, Cooper Presley, keeps pushing him to move on. He's been divorced for two years and the only thing that matters to him now is his little girl. He does agree with Cooper on one thing...calling the number for the no attachments ad for the woman who can come make his house a home and help with April's fifth birthday party.

Bella Reese is done with love. After two failed engagements...no more. Instead, she's opened a business Bride for Hire. She does all the things a wife would do—with no emotional attachments. Until her present client in Bride, Texas.

Another wonderful, sweet cowboy romance from author Debra Clopton. Full of characters you can't help but fall in love with...and get excited knowing they have stories coming too. Like the Presley brothers from Ransom Creek.
Book 3: Charmed by the Cowboy - Cooper
Cooper Presley is a natural flirt and the woman like him. He may go on dates now and then, but nothing serious. Unfortunately, the last girl was ready for marriage after two dates and had gone off the deep end. So, Cooper is taking a break from dating. And then he meets the new neighbor...

Beth Lee is in Ransom Creek to start over. To raise her goats, start a garden, and no men. Unfortunately, she meets the handsome and kind cowboy next door and has to remind herself how about the no men. Which is hard to do with a man like Cooper Presley.

Another fun series from Debra Clopton. Full of adorable animals and handsome cowboys. The reader can first meet the Presleys in the book seven of the Windswept Bay Series, where their baby sister, Lana, meets Cam Sinclair. Her Cowboy Hero has the neighbor girl and Cooper's best friend, Trip Jensen, and Bride for Hire gives even a closer look at the Presleys when their cousin Carson Andrews story is told.

Book 4: The Cowboy's Junk-Store Princess - Shane
Shane Presley thought he was just fine in his single state. He's happy for his brother who recently married but he wasn't ready. Or so he thought. Too bad the girl he stopped to help is already engaged because just meeting her sure changed his thinking.

Jenna Emory is a big city kind of girl. Not a small-town girl. She finally has an opportunity to go visit her aunt in Ransom Creek to let her know in person that she appreciates her aunt's offer to partner her in B&B and junk shop, but no way will she ever fit in a small town. Even when there are such handsome cowboys like the Presleys around.

Loved the story. If you cry at stories, you may want the tissue box handy. Looking forward to reading about the rest of the Presley brothers finding their happily-ever-afters.
Book 5: Her Second-Chance Cowboy - Vance
Vance Presley doesn't have time for dating. He has one goal in life right now and that would be to win the finals in his bronc riding. Only, the cute little waitress who drops the plates whenever he's around is taking up some of that space that the rodeo should have in his mind.

Libby Dunaway aka Libby Smith as those in the small town she landed in know her as Libby is on the run and she best take off soon again—otherwise, she's going to get more attached to people who come in the diner. Especially one handsome bronc rider.

The Presley family and the other characters in this series are wonderful. The book pulls you into their family and small town. I really enjoyed it.
Book 6: The Cowboy and Maisy Love - Drake
Drake Presley is the eldest of the Presley siblings. The one who remembered their mom the clearest. And remembered her death. He became the dad-brother to his younger siblings. The most serious. And, what no one knew, he'd promised never to marry so he'd never have to lose someone he loved as his dad did. Until she came to town.

Maisy Love has her home behind her Jeep and is traveling around doing what she loves. On the Road with Maisy Love was her blog show. Going around cooking and filming in small diners around the country. Until an unexpected stop in Ransom Creek.

Just because it looks like a fluffy white and black kitty—doesn't mean that's what it is. Maisy's city girl ways find out that lesson the hard way. The big difference between a cute cat and a smelly skunk. It does, however, have her meeting the hunky cowboy. Loved the story!
Book 7: Not Quite Looking for a Family - Brice
Brice Presley and his dad, Marcus, are the only two Presley bachelors now. His sister and his brothers are married, or about to be married. Brice is fine with all of that. He's not ready to settle down. Or at least that's what he thought.

Tara Quinn is starting over. Her little family has had a rough few years and she moved to Ransom Creek to start over. She plans on starting a business so she can be around for her young son and daughter. Just the three of them is all she needs. No man. Not even the oh-so-handsome cowboy.

Sometimes, most times, we make plans but God always has His plans. This story may be fiction, but in real life...you just don't know what paths will lead you to happily-ever-after. Great series.

Windswept Bay Series
Book 1: From This Moment On
Grant Ellington is stepping out of his reclusive state after six months. After a plane crash that took the lives of two of his friends, he stayed on his ranch. Keeping his feet on solid ground. Until now. His friend and neighbor asked a favor of him. To paint some murals for his sisters' resort. He'd said yes, not knowing if he could still use his talents or not.

Cali Sinclair was happy working with two of her sisters at their island resort. The only one out of nine children to marry—and she had failed at that. She didn't need another man...ever. She had found peace once again at Windswept Bay. Her home.

The beautiful island surroundings has brought peace to Cali's life and the island...and Cali...are doing the same for Grant. This is the first book in this series and I'll be biting at the bit for the next books. I really enjoyed this. And even though Grant is an artist and on a beach—he still has his cowboy roots and heart.

Book 2: Somewhere With You
Shar Sinclair has great passion, especially when it comes to saving sea turtles. She also has a great fear—that a man in her life would take that passion away. Not allow her to be independent and follow her heart.

Benjamin Gage Lancaster needed to get away. All he's ever known is running Lancaster Industries with his father. Now, his father has suddenly died and Gage is realizing how different his passion and his father's are. Especially when he sees the beautiful woman's passion for saving a sea turtle—and the joy he also feels in helping her do so.

This is the second book in this series and I'm already anxious for the next one. This story has some added twists that I hope to read more of in the books yet to come. The Sinclairs are a big family—nine kids. There is a cowboy in the bunch if you enjoy the author's Texas cowboys. Otherwise, the series takes place on an island. Excellent series.
Book 3: With This Kiss
Shar Sinclair is anxiously awaiting her groom. As in, she is in her dress, the wedding is one hour, and her groom has not yet arrived. Definite cause for being anxious.

Gage Lancaster was only going to make a quick stop on the way to the wedding. There was a lead on his missing half-brother and he just had to see if it panned out. After all, it was on the way to the resort and would just take a few minutes.

This wedding day was not turning out as anyone expected. Not for the bride and groom and not for others involved either. This is a short story that is connected to book two; Somewhere With You and a prelude to book four; Forever And For Always. I'm loving this series and looking forward to the rest of the series. There are nine Sinclair siblings and I hope they all get a story.
Book 4: Forever and For Always
Olivia Sinclair's life has just become very public—and not in a good way. So she headed somewhere she hadn't been in too long...home.

BJ McCall's life has just changed as well. He was just told his father wasn't his father. He was told this by a stranger that apparently is his half-brother. He is also now rich. Very rich. Thing is, he was content with his life as it was.

When BJ rescues Olivia from her rooftop—life changes once again for both of them. This time in a good way. The reader can first meet BJ in book three; With This Kiss. His half-brother's story is in book two; Somewhere With You. This is such a good series. Looking forward to more stories of the Sinclair siblings. Book one is; From This Moment.
Book 5: Holding Out for Love
Jillian Sinclair loves working with the plants at the Windswept Bay Resort she owns with her sisters. Three of her sisters recently found love and were so happy. Jillian dreamed of a husband and family one day herself. And then she got news from her doctor and it changed everything.

Ryan Locke had been deep undercover for four years—until his cover was blown and he almost died. It was time he came home and took time to recover and decide where life led him next. His job was everything to him because he wanted to save others from what he couldn't save his own sister from.

Another great story from the beautiful setting of Windswept Bay. Debra has brought the Sinclair family to life and they are so easy to fall in love with. You may want to have tissues nearby. I really enjoyed this story and the previous books. Can't wait for the brothers stories.
Book 6: With This Ring
Levi Sinclair was content in his career as the Windswept Bay chief of police. He wasn't planning on marriage or family, just focused on work. And then a six-year-old boy who asked him to be his show-in-tell changed everything.

Jessica Lyons had lost her husband two years ago. Suddenly, her son wants a new daddy. When God or Santa didn't deliver one to him, he took it upon himself to choose the man himself. And her son was quite determined when he set his mind to something.

The first five books in this series were for the Sinclair sisters. Now it's the brothers turns to find that perfect woman. Great characters and story line. Including a couple of really big dogs that add to it. Looking forward to the next book already.
Book 7: With This Promise
Cameron “Cam” Sinclair may have been born in Windswept Bay, but he has the heart of a Texan cowboy. Coming back home for a visit and some business—he finds a reason to come home more often. Or, can home truly be where the heart is?

Lana Presley had to get out of Texas for several reasons. Mostly to be independent of the six men in her family who wanted to protect the little baby girl...her. She was hoping to get to meet Cam Sinclair, but only out of curiosity. Nothing more. After all—he was a cowboy and she would never date another cowboy. Ever.

I love this series and the characters and now Debra Clopton has added even more characters to love—five very protective cowboy brothers. Looking forward to the next book in this series already.
Book 8: With This Pledge
Max Sinclair is special ops and loves serving his country. He's recovering from a mission that went wrong. At least he was still alive. And seeing Cam's new manager for the stables has Max feeling even more alive.

Kelsey Malone noticed the handsome brother at Cam and Lana's engagement party right away. It seemed every time she glanced at him...he was looking back. But when she found out he was special ops, she did her best to barricade her heart. She had a policy for dating. No military men. Too bad the heart doesn't listen to the policies the brain creates.

Welcome back to the beautiful Windswept Bay. It could be called the Island of Love if you happen to be a Sinclair, because lately...love is in the air and the Sinclair's are breathing it in. Great series. And by the way…Max has the coolest guard pet!
Book 9: With This Wish
Trent Sinclair has been a loner since he's been out of the military service. Well, as much as a loner he could be with nine loving brothers and sisters around. Something happened while he was deployed that changed his life. Changed him. He no longer lived life to the fullest.

Lilly McCall has been running for a long time. After the car accident that took her parent's lives, she stayed away from loving anyone. Including distancing herself from her only brother. It was time to stop running. Put down roots. Get to know her brother, BJ, again.

Neither Trent or Lilly had been truly alive. They had stopped living—died in a way—when the people they loved had died. It was time they both started moving forward again. No matter how afraid they were. They both just needed to take that first step forward.
Book 10: With This Forever
Jake Sinclair enjoys dating but he's not the marrying type. When a new tenant rents the other side of his dive shop...things change. He still doesn't want to marry but the beautiful shop owner has him feeling off course.

Sammy Jo Lovely is starting over. She's never been adventurous, but she's going to try and complete the bucket list she and her grandmother wrote up. Since her gran passed away, she got one thing done—moved to Windswept Bay and opened a shop. And she thinks that it would be nice to accomplish a few things with her handsome neighbor...like a kiss on a moonlit beach. Problem is, he's adventurous and she's not. They'd be like oil and water.

The last of the Sinclair siblings has been holding out on love...until now. I've really enjoyed reading these stories. The beautiful ocean, learning about sea turtle rescue, and wonderfully sweet happily-ever-afters.
Book 11: With This Vow
This story pulls together the characters from Windswept Bay and Cowboys of Ransom Creek as Cam Sinclair, who married Lana Presley, are getting ready to have their baby.

What an incredible story. Definitely a tissue warning needs to issued if you cry easily while reading a story. Not in a bad way though, just with feeling the emotions the characters are going through. Lana facing being a mother, while fearing the past repeating itself. Her mother had died giving birth to her. Cam, the big tough cowboy wanting to protect his wife...and yet, can't.

Maisy is heading for a cooking competition while Vance is on the last legs of the championship for his bronc riding. Drake, who is Vegas with Maisy, Vance, and Libby, is the big brother who is like Cam, worrying over how Lana will do, and also, helpless to do anything more than pray. I loved it. A great finale that ties the books together.

Texas Matchmakers Series
Book 1: Dream With Me, Cowboy
Lacy Brown feels the answer to her prayers when she reads an advertisement. The small town of Mule Hollow is looking for women. They have a lot of lonely cowboys who don't have the time to head to the larger towns to look for dates. Lacy doesn't want a cowboy...she wants to help the town and share her faith...and fix hair.

Clint Matlock didn't trust women and didn't want one. Especially not the new woman in town. If the matchmakers were bringing more woman like this one...Mule Hollow was in more trouble than ever!

Previously published as The Trouble with Lacy Brown, this story never gets old. Poor Lacy just has trouble following her around. And laughter. Great humor, characters, and writing. I love this series.
Book 2: Be My Love, Cowboy
Book 3: This Heart's Yours, Cowboy
Book 4: Hold Me, Cowboy
Book 5: Be Mine, Cowboy
Book 6: Marry Me, Cowboy
Haley Bell Thornton was a runaway bride. Three times now. She'd run away from Mule Hollow, Texas as well as from that first wedding. She'd achieved her goal of being one of the best real estate agents in Hollywood. She had all that glitters...but not happiness. And she found herself driving her BMW back to Mule Hollow after leaving what would've been her wedding.

Will Sutton returned to Mule Hollow three months ago and was happy with his choice. When he heard about the women trying to keep the town alive by bringing in brides for the cowboys...he wanted to be a part of the restoration. Not by being one of the cowboys...no, he'd learned his lesson in love the hard way. But he could live here and be a part of the community.

Wonderful, sweet series. A Matchmaking Posse, cranky men playing checkers, and plenty of cowboys bring these stories to life. Wonderful characters, many of which revisit each story to do their part in helping Mule Hollow come to life...
Book 7: Cherish Me, Cowboy
Nate Talbert had stopped living three years ago. He died right along with his wife. The day he decided his late wife would want him to take the time to greet his new neighbors...was the day his heart started beating again. Walking into a flooded house, a screeching bird, funny looking dog, cute boy, and a green-eyed lady—apparently had the power to restart that dead organ.

Pollyanna McDonald had loved and been loved deeply. Her husband was gone but she had their son, Gil, to help remind her of the love her and Marc had shared. She knew about the matchmaking town she moved to and had let the ladies know she wanted to open a bed and breakfast—not participate in finding a husband. Ha! Like those gals listened to anyone.

Another fun filled...and at times tear-jerking...adventure to Mule Hollow, Texas. I love these books and the characters inside them.
Book 8: Surprise Me, Cowboy
Dan Dawson is more than what he seems. People see a fun-loving, always smiling, flirtatious cowboy. And...he is all that...and more. What led him up to wanting to flirt a smile out of a woman and cheer folks up is the deep, dark part of him. The part that keeps him from getting serious.

Ashby Templeton moved to Mule Hollow, Texas a year ago. She wanted to get married and have babies. And yet...everyone else is getting married while she's being tortured by the one cowboy that is completely wrong for her. She's been down the road with the flirty-type guy...and that's one drive she'll never take again.

I just loved Dan's character. He's so sweet and caring... He's quick on giving advice too. He just doesn't know how to use it himself. Another great couple to get the Matchmaking Posse riled up and ready to play Cupid.
Book 9: Serenade Me, Cowboy
Ross Denton grew up in the entertainment business. Once his grandpop passed away, Ross realized being on stage wasn't his dream. He was now living his dream as a rancher. All he needs is a wife and a passel of kids and life would be perfect. And the new gal in town seemed to fit that bill perfectly until he found out she was an actress.

Sugar Ray Lenox came to this small town—without a specialized coffee shop—to help out her friend, Haley. And she had great plans to do a summer theater program that would get her recognized and send her to stardom. Something she was always meant for. So no, she wasn't going to fall for no handsome cowboy. Especially one that wouldn't give her his barn to use for her theater.

Mule Hollow, Texas might seem like a quiet laid-back town... And it mostly is unless you happen to be single and find yourself on the Matchmaking Posse's radar. Then life is anything but quiet. Those three women will stop at nothing to get a man and woman together that have “sparks” igniting between them. I love every page-turning story!
Book 10: Return to Me, Cowboy
Zane Cantrell had been a Texas Ranger and met Rose fifteen years ago. It was the one and only time he let his guard down and his heart lead him. Never again. Now, it was time to find her and apologize for his actions and see if there was any hope for a future.

Rose Vincent couldn't believe that Zane was her—in her town! She'd spent the last fourteen years hiding from him and lying to her son. His appearance here could ruin everything. And just when she was getting her life on track.

I loved that the reader got to see three point of views in this story. Zane, Rose, and fourteen-year-old Max. As always, the author wrote a cowboy that was irresistible...one that as the reader, I was wanting him to have his happily-ever-after.
Book 11: Love Me, Cowboy
Trace Crawford had made a big mistake and the small-town of Mule Hollow, Texas wasn't letting him soon forget it. Especially Paisley. But, he couldn't think of what he'd done now, he needed Paisley's help no matter how much she despised him.

Paisley Norton believed in family first. Trace had hurt her family and she wouldn't forgive...or let him forget it. But—a little girl needed her. Could she set aside her dislike for the cowboy to help him with his niece? Maybe she could at least try.

The Matchmaking Posse is at it again. They don't much care what Paisley thinks about Trace. Those women have decided those two belong together...and so it will be if they have anything to do with it. Which of course, they always have something to do with it. Just love the characters and stories in this series.
Book 12: Ride With Me, Cowboy
Brent Stockwell was raised to be a man of integrity. A God fearing man. Only...fame and fortune had him straying off from that course. And that straying led to some life-changing consequences. And guilt. He'd come out of hiding to help train some horses for a friend in Mule Hollow, Texas. He didn't expect to find an untamable woman there.

Tacy Jones was at Pace Gentry's ranch to learn how to break horses. Unfortunately, Pace and Sheri had to go to Australia on an extended leave. She was still excited about the colts coming in and her dream to help break them. Until Brent showed up and refused to allow her to help.

Fireworks between a couple is just what lights up the Matchmaking Posse. And there were definitely fireworks going off between Brent and Tacy. Where most people would see two unsuitable people and turn the other way...these women ran forward with glee. Another great story in this series.
Book 13: Dance With Me, Cowboy
Gabe McKennon was upset. His mother went behind his back and invited his late-ex-wife's sister to visit. He didn't want her family around his son. Or to find out his secret. But, his mother invited her so he just started his countdown for the three weeks to pass quickly.

Olivia Dancer had finally found her sisters that she was separated from when they were young. Their youngest sister had died but they found out she had children. While her sister, Meagan, went to find Dawn's daughter...Olivia headed to Mule Hollow to meet her nephew. If only she could get past his hardheaded father to do so.

Another sweet and heartwarming story from Mule Hollow. I always go through a few tissues as I read these stories, but there's plenty of humor in them too. Great characters and story lines.

New Horizon's Ranch Of Mule Hollow

Book 1: Her Mule Hollow Cowboy
Maddie Rose was determined to work as hard as her male partners on the ranch that was willed to them all. She finally had a place to belong. Putting her past behind her and deciding if she couldn't have her dream, at least she had this.

Cliff Masterson thought he was living the dream being on the bull riding circuit. Now that his dad died, he stopped to realize maybe he'd been running all these years. When he went to stay with his brother Rafe and look for land in Mule Hollow, he never expected to find someone that could fill the empty hole in him, even if she was a stubborn spit-fire of a woman.

Book 2: Rafe
Rafe Masterson loved his life on the ranch. And he was glad to see his twin brother, Cliff, so happy and in love with Maddie. Rafe had a hard time believing his brother could fall in love so quickly, but he had. As for himself, the hurt from the past was a good reminder to stay away from love. Then there was the bunny incident and everything changed.

Sadie Archer was running away. After a shock, she just got in her sports car and drove. Who knows how far she might have gone if not for the flat tire. And because of that flat tire she met a dreamy cowboy. Not that she was looking for a hunk, far from it.

Something about Mule Hollow seems to breathe love into the air. Whether the Matchmaking Posse have their hands in it or not, love seems to happen. And the more a couple fights the idea...the quicker things seem to happen.
Book 3: Chase
Chase Hartley, part owner of the New Horizons Ranch, had once been a city boy. No longer. And no thanks when it came to dating a city girl. Sadie was the exception to that rule, but her friend who just drove up in her red sports car was not, she was definitely all city girl. Or was she?

Amber Rivers has come to this small Texas town for her best friend's wedding. But the timing is perfect, she needed to get out of Houston until a situation was settled. Amber hated that she wasn't in control of her life at the moment and it didn't help that a handsome cowboy chose to make himself her protector. The only protection she needed was from that cowboy!

I just love visiting Mule Hollow. The posse, the townspeople and one of my favorites makes an appearance in this story...Samantha the donkey. Life is never dull in this small town and Amber just brought a whole lot of excitement with her from the city.

Book 4: Ty
Ty Calder has a secret Christmas wish that only he knows about. Now it's almost Christmas again...and he once again wishes for what he may never get. It'll be okay though, he'll just work that much harder with the horses he trains on the ranch he has a partnership in.

Mia Shaw is back in Mule Hollow, Texas. It's been four years she was away while she rode the circuit. A bum knee has brought her home for the holidays. Home to Uncle Huey and her family ranch. A ranch that reminds her that she lost her parents so many years ago. Maybe this trip she can make some good memories.

Welcome back to Mule Hollow and all the wonderful characters who live there. Especially the Matchmaking Posse and their talent for sniffing out single folks they think belong together. It doesn't take long for them to set their sights...and skills...on Ty and Mia.
Book 5: Dalton
Dalton Borne feels blessed to be one of five partners who own New Horizon Ranch. Working a ranch and with animals is much better than being around people. He has watched all four of his partners fall in love and admits he envies them a bit, but he doesn't deserve that happiness. Never.

Rae Anne Tyson had to get away. She just chose the wrong time to do it. She always seemed to make bad choices. This one almost got her killed...along with her young son and the baby she was about to give birth to. Thank God for sending someone to rescue them in the nick of time.

Two people who are determined not to give their hearts to anyone. One who thought he didn't deserve happiness and the other who had made bad choices and was going to prove she could stand on her own two feet and build a life for her two babies. Funny how life doesn't always care what people want. Great series.
Book 6: Treb
Treb Carson wants to get married and start a family. He has watched each of his five bosses at New Horizon Ranch fall in love and get married. He's ready. Now he just has to get the girl.

Veterinarian Megan Tanner never wants to marry. She's watched her mother and sisters fall in love, marry, and divorce. No thanks. She will happily live out her life with her pets and taking care of other folk's animals around Mule Hollow. And not even the Matchmakin' Posse is going to change her mind!

As always, I loved the story. It's always so fun to visit Mule Hollow and all the unique folks who live there. If you are a single guy or gal—watch out—the posse will be watching you.
Book 7: Maddie's Secret Baby
Maddie and Cliff Masterson had their story in book one of this series; Her Mule Hollow Cowboy. If you haven't read it, it's free. Maddie is one of the five owners of New Horizon Ranch.

Maddie grew up orphaned and is so happy being married to Cliff this past year and her extended family at the ranch. All she's missing is a baby. Not for long though. She has just found out she's pregnant and can't wait to tell Cliff.

A slight problem at the Sip-N-Go is causing a delay. Keeping her secret while surrounded by Mule Hollow's infamous Posse—also the grapevine of Mule Hollow—is hard enough. But when trouble follows the group, it'll take a miracle to get out of it with her secret intact.
Book 8: Austin
Sheriff Deputy Austin Drake is busy working to support his widowed sister and niece. Still, he wouldn't mind finding a woman of his own. Especially living in Mule Hollow where new happily married couples are all around him. Figures that the woman who makes his heart beat faster has a job that makes his heart beat in the exact opposite way.

Cowgirl Jolene Bartee has an uphill climb. She loves breaking horses and has never had the support of her family behind her. And as far as men go...she has to prove herself as a woman that she can do her job well. And even though the lawman she meets when she drives into town is handsome—well, he's a lawman.

Welcome back to the lovable town of Mule Hollow. Where the Matchmakin' Posse are always on the lookout for matches to be made. Everyone knows your business. And love always seems to be in the air. There are always old friends and new ones in these stories. I love all of the author's stories and always look forward to the next love-match.

A Four of Hearts Ranch Romance Series
Book 1: Betting on Hope
Tru Monahan had much to show for himself so far in his twenty-nine years. Such as; rodeo championships, horse training, the ranch he shared with his brothers and grandfather. There was more he wanted though. A family of his own.

Maggie Hope wrote a column to help people, she was okay being in the background, unlike her friend Amanda who had a TV show. When Amanda falls ill, she has Maggie stand in for her to interview the hunkiest cowboy ever, Tru Monahan. When she finds Tru even more handsome in person, she gets tongue tied and ends up making a bet as a joke. Only her paper and his sponsors don't see the humor, they see dollar signs.

I cannot wait for more in this series. I have read and enjoyed all of the Mule Hollow Series and the humorous antics in them, there is humor in this book too, but also deeper subjects. Some of the characters are hiding some deep hurts from their youth, while others have major decisions with no good answers. Combining all of it together for a really enjoyable story.
**Received through publisher for honest review
Book 2: Counting on a Cowboy
Bo Monahan along with his two brothers, have been working to save their ranch and there hasn't been time for dating, or much else. He wasn't the man he used to be, but sometimes the past catches up to you...and sometimes that past mixes with the present and future.

Abby Knightly had read all of Maggie Hope's, now Monahan, columns and fell in love with the small town of Wishing Springs, Texas. Her friends and family thought they were helping her, but they were really keeping her in the past. It was time to move forward. Oh, she would never love again...but maybe she could be happy.

Life never quite turns out as you plan. For Bo, it was a woman he felt responsible for after an accident and his past showing up...literally...on his doorstep. For Abby it was the attraction to a cowboy...an attraction that she didn't want. She couldn't let go of her past, or the guilt that came with it. The first book is Bo's brother's story; Betting on Hope. The third book; Kissed by a Cowboy is his eldest brother, Jarrod's, story.
Book 3: Kissed by a Cowboy
Jarrod Monahan feels the weight of saving the ranch on his shoulders, he feels responsible for not knowing their dad had almost gambled it away. Now that Bo and Tru have found their soul mates, he's feeling how empty his life is. He has his work...but is lonely. And then he gains a new neighbor.

Cassidy Starr feels like she's failed. She couldn't keep her marriage together, just like her flighty parents. Thankfully her great aunt Roxie left her home to her. She plans on a new start. She's going to raise strawberries and open a bed and breakfast. No men. Especially not the man she fell in love with as a young troubled girl. The same man who kissed and walked out of her life.

Another great series by this author. Not much gets past the people in the small town of Wishing Springs, Texas. Especially not possible matchmaking opportunities. Along with Jarrod and Cassidy is the story of Rand and Pebble that started in the first book; Betting on Hope and continued in book 2; Counting on a Cowboy and ends in this book.

Book 8: Her Baby Dreams

The Mule Hollow matchmakers were singing that ditty right in Ashby Templeton's ear. And though she wanted a husband and a baby more than anything, she drew the line at Dan Dawson. The handsome cowboy--who loved telling Ashby to lighten up--wasn't exactly the serious, settling-down sort she'd hoped to find at the church singles group. Yet in a town of lonesome cowboys in want of wives, Dan was the only one asking her for a date. Asking for a chance to show Ashby that he could make all her dreams come true.

Book 9: The Cowboy Takes a Bride
Sugar Rae Lenox is famous..in Mule Hollow. For wanting her name in lights on a Hollywood marquee. For wanting to leave. And for thinking the local matchmakers are might mistaken! Why applaud the attraction between her and a too--handsome cowboy with boots of lead? Ross Denton lives on the outskirts of town on some dusty ranch. And the only place he wants to see his name is on a marriage certificate. So why isn't she singing and dancing away from the ranch? She can't possibly want a starring role in Ross's life as his bride..can she?

Book 3: Her Homecoming Cowboy
Annie Ridgeway and her nephew Leo are new residents of Mule Hollow. Annie moved her with a purpose….to let a certain cowboy know that he had a son. When her sister died a year ago she gave Annie the name of Leo’s father and asked her never to say anything. After a year of struggling over whether to find Leo's father and tell him or not, God seemed to use an act of nature to push her out the door and to Mule Hollow.

Colt Holden is a bull rider. He was recently injured and that was healing but he wasn’t healing from the accident he’d been in. An accident where he was the sole survivor. He wanted to be left alone in his dull drums and suddenly a six year old boy and his pretty aunt burst into his life and he’s finding it a struggle not to enjoy life again.

The last of the Holden brothers has come home to Mule Hollow in this three book series. As always Debra tells a story with laughter and love but a touch of serious as well. Samantha the donkey shows up to scare the new residents with her forwardness and Norma Sue gives a cowboy a lesson on not being rude. I always enjoy visiting Mule Hollow and seeing all the friends from the earlier books. Never a dull moment and definitely no privacy here, but lots of love.

Erik is good at two things: his freelance job and maintaining casual, no-one-gets-hurt relationships with women. What is Sadie thinking, proposing to him? This is marriage---not a middle school dance. Erik decides to show Sadie what romance looks like when the man takes the lead. And while he's at it, he'll prove just how wrong they are for each other. But when he realizes he's fallen for her, can Erik convince Sadie his just-for-fun dates were the prelude to ''til death do us part"?

People who are hurt and scarred and don't think that love could be in their futures. They are wrong of course. It's a great mix of stories. Two of the stories are suspense and keep you on the edge of your seat. All six are page turners. I hope that more stories will come from these as there are some great secondary characters as well.
